Deze praktijken leiden jaarlijks aios op, ontvangen studenten geneeskunde voor een coschap stage en doen mee aan wetenschappelijk onderzoek van onze afdeling. De praktijken fungeren als proeftuin voor zowel onze huisartsopleiding, het studentonderwijs en ons huisartsgeneeskundig onderzoek. Alle centra hebben een focus op kwaliteit en innovatie. Alle praktijken binnen het netwerk maken onderdeel uit van de Rijnmond Gezond database. De Rijnmond Gezond database is de database die we als afdeling sinds 2018 in beheer hebben, in nauwe samenwerking met de afdeling Medische Informatica van het Erasmus MC. Het uiteindelijke doel van ons netwerk is een bijdrage te leveren aan het optimaliseren van huisartsgeneeskundige zorg voor patiënten. Gezamenlijk leveren de ongeveer 100 huisartsen zorg aan ongeveer 175000 patiënten.
